Navneet Boddu, MD, is Board Certified in Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology. He is a Fellowship-trained Pain Management specialist. Dr. Boddu has been practicing Interventional Pain Management for more than 25 years. He also practices anesthesiology with an emphasis on Cardiac Anesthesia.
Dr. Boddu is a specialist in Regenerative Medicine and an expert in stem cell therapies and PRP treatments. He uses leading edge technology in Regenerative Medicine to treat patients with spine and joint disorders. Dr. Boddu is one of the few physicians who has conducted FDA authorized Stem Cell Treatment for patients with severe COVID19.
He has published multiple articles in medical journals about stem cell therapies. Dr. Boddu is the author of multiple chapters in the textbook of Essentials of Regenerative Medicine in Interventional Pain Management. Dr. Boddu is also contributing author of several chapters about nerve blocks and pain injections in the Atlas of Interventional Orthopedics Procedures.
He has a distinguished career in the medical field in San Diego County. In 2024, he was recognized as a Top Doctor in Pain Medicine by San Diego Magazine. He was also recognized as a Top Doctor in Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology by San Diego Magazine in the years 2023, 2022, 2021 and 2017. He was chairman of the anesthesiology department at Tri-City Medical Center from 2015 to 2017
For more than 10 years, he was an anesthesiologist at South Coast Medical Center in Laguna Beach practicing pain management and anesthesiology. Dr. Boddu was also chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology at South Coast Medical Center for three years. In the last 15 years he’s been practicing pain management and anesthesiology at Tri-City Medical Center, while also serving as chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology for the past 2 years. He is currently on staff at Scripps Memorial Medical Center, Encinitas, and Tri-City Medical Center.
Dr. Boddu completed his ACGME accredited Anesthesiology residency at Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1997. He was awarded the Outstanding Graduate Resident of the Year of his graduating class. Dr. Boddu completed ACGME accredited fellowship in Pain Management at the University of California, Davis, Medical Center, in 1998.
After completing the fellowship, Dr. Boddu joined the faculty of the University of California, Irvine, Medical Center, as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management. Apart from clinical duties, he trained residents in anesthesiology and post-doctoral fellows in Pain Management.
