Knee Joint is biggest joint in our body. The knee joint is supported by ligaments inside the the joint and out the joint which are prone to sprains and injuries. Knee joint also have tendons that can tear or sprain.
Knee joint pain is caused by:
- Arthritis: Different types of arthritis can affect the knee joint, causing pain, stiffness, and reduced range of motion.
- Tendinitis: Inflammation of the tendons or tears of tendons connecting muscles to bones can cause knee pain.
- Ligaments sprains or tears like ACL, MCL tears.
- Meniscus tear: Meniscus are prone for injuries, it may be caused by minor or major trauma. Affected joint has pain, swelling, stiffness and reduced range of motion.
Treatment
Ultrasound and X-ray guided injections of PRP, Bone Marrow Concentrates (Stem Cells), Microfragmented Adipose Tissue (MFAT) (Stem Cells) and other biologics are used to treat the above Knee joint and ligament disorders.
